Oof. This brings Joe Abercrombie's Shattered Sea trilogy to an end, I think. It's certainly a more final feeling book than the prior two, though the world still has room for more stories.
This one, like the previous two, felt predictable at times, but that served the narrative by giving it a sense of dread in places, as certain things were foreshadowed to happen, and the only real question was when.

I'm in awe of Joe Abercrombie. Some of his character arcs become a bit familiar if you have read all his other work but I've not gotten tired of him yet. All the stars go to these books.
I'd love to see more in this world in the same fashion that Abercrombie added on to his equally fantastic First Law series.
