Okay,I decided to write a review on the Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins as I re-read the book and finished it today.It's the third book in the Hunger Games dystopian radical trilogy and the end of the story -kind of-.

I can't say that the book isn't good -no-,you can't say something like that about a miracle like the Hunger Games.I can say,though,that I expected more.Was it my idea or Suzanne put all her awesome writing effort to the second book and she was kind of tired in the third one?The end wa Okay,I decided to write a review on the Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins as I re-read the book and finished it today.It's the third book in the Hunger Games dystopian radical trilogy and the end of the story -kind of-.

I can't say that the book isn't good -no-,you can't say something like that about a miracle like the Hunger Games.I can say,though,that I expected more.Was it my idea or Suzanne put all her awesome writing effort to the second book and she was kind of tired in the third one?The end was epic but not so impressive I think.I imagined a huge war where Katniss was about to fight,injury herself but win.It looked like the end of the world,like these strange horror-sci fic movies about a world destruction.I won't stay there,though,because the whole creation was outstanding.

The deaths,Oh my God,the deaths of the Hunger Games books are unlike every other book series I've read till now.They don't make you cry,they are more excruciating than that,it's like you are inside the book and you watch them die and you can do nothing.They don't make you wanna cry,they leave a silent scar in your hurt,they make you miss the characters who died so much that it makes you feel like half a heart.

The book's romance was heartstopping,the relationships between both Katniss and Peeta and Katniss and Gale were tender and depressing -especially Katniss and Peeta-.One thing that I approved and adored were the metaphors that Suzanne used,something I can't remember in her other books.She used metaphors of course but now they were pretty much awesome,they reminded me of the lyrical ones of Shatter Me (I can't compare these books together,though.Even if they are both dystopian,each one has it's own beauty).

The ending was really ambiguous and strange,making you wanting to imagine what will happen in the rest.I know people who HATE these kinds of endings and I have to admit that this is also my first reaction.But only the first.These kinds of endings are awesome(that's what I then realise).

That was my first so big review(I am getting better :D).Hope you enjoy the book as I did

Disappointing. Did not live up to my expectations at all!

First book= great, fantastic, fabulous, so EPIC etc..

Second book= awesome, marvellous, magnificent etc..

Third Book= ~~fangirling about how awesome that book was~~

Mockingjay was quite good although I liked catching fire the best. The Hunger Games series was a compelling read - you just couldn't help but turn the page and you'd find that you had finished the book within a couple of hours. The storyline was interesting and unpredictable as well as the main character Katniss - i love heroines! - and what she represented throughout the series. A wonderful conclusion, full of hope and love and a new beginning; Mockingjay was amazing. ...more
