This book had good text structure, and a great plot. What I loved about this series is that it has the characters from another series Rick Riordan wrote. All of the characters have great backgrounds in my opinion. They aren't "perfect" because there is no human that's absolutely "perfect"
In my opinion, this is the best yet in the series so far, a lot happens. But, as we know, The Blood Of Olympus is coming out next year. So we will see. ...more

ok so this was the most heart breaking book of the HOO books (in my opinion). but anyway the book begins i think a few days after the MOA and it's in Hazel's POV (i thought it would start with Annabeth or Percy) the book goes back and forth with all of the seven's POV it goes back and forth from tartrus and the mortal world. I liked this ending was better than the ending for the mark of athena! 'Bob says hello.' ...more

Ohmmmmymymymyymgooshhhhhhh I love this series LITERALLY more than anything ever. This book is sooooo good OBVIOUSLY the Percy and Annabeth chapters are the best bc 1.) it’s Percabeth duh and 2.) Tartarus is so creepy and cool and terrifyingly interesting. Also Calypso and Leo. That’s it. Also Nico is such a well written character WE LOVE A KING. Okay now I’m done.

Great book. As always of course. I can not lie though, it was a little bit of a let down compared to all the others. I gave all of them 5 stars. This one gets only 4. Why? Because Riordan changed my view on my former favorite character. It was unnecessary, given that kids as young as 9 or 10 are reading the book too. But in the end, it makes me excited for the final book! :)
