“There are people you meet that you get to know, and then there are people you meet that you already know.”
Really enjoyed Confess, Colleen Hoover always delivers on a good quick read. I really enjoyed the plot line with this book, and especially the painting aspect. I do however feel I wasn't super invested in Owen and Auburn it came off a bit cheesy. I also feel like there was something missing at the ending of the book, it all kind of came together really quick. ...more

3.5 Stars. I thought this book had some really great parts then meh parts. Not my favourite CoHo book (that would still be Maybe Someday) but not my least favourite (that would still be Never Never).
The art theme was really beautiful. I loved Owen. Let me just say that his character was by far my favourite. And this isn't because he's hot and all and I'm shallow when it comes to book babes but he was just so selfless and good...and Auburn was kind of dense and had no back bone to stand up for ...more

A CoHo book is something that I know I will love, regardless of the story. I don't need to read the blurb, I just know in my heart it will be something I would not only enjoy, but will think about for a long, long time. Why? Because Colleen knows how to create characters that will leave a lasting impression; she knows how to create stories that appeal to her readers; best of all, it's like she has a direct line to the emotions of her readers. She always makes it seem real, and you can't help but ...more

Okay first off. When I started this book I couldn't put it down. Life happened and I was forced to but it stayed in my mind and I kept thinking about it. The first flaw in this book that I noticed (or one of the first) was the fact that even though he was an artist who PAINTED and used COLOUR and probably knew the whole flippen rainbow and all the colours in between, he couldn't decipher what colour her shirt was. This made me sceptical and it seemed a little unrealistic. Nevertheless I loved th

Why Confess Was So Awesome
Dual Perspective: Often times, when a story is told in dual perspectives, some aspect of the story is not fully developed since it is such a difficult technique to use. Either you can't distinguish the two voices, the story is over-saturated with details, or secondary and tertiary characters come across as flat. However, Hoover beats the odds in Confess and creates a story with two distinct voices that isn't ram ...more

I really loved this book. It make you believe in fate, in love, in happy endings... I loved how Auburn found a solution make her life better, I loved Owen and how he is devoted to his beloved one. Actually the is the first time I read and love a book where there is two persons who are telling the story I liked the way of going from chapter to another, reading what in owen and Auburn's mind from different perspections.
