Definitely my least favorite of all the Elm Creek books. While I enjoy the writing immensely I really didn't see the point in jumping 20 years ahead when there were still so many stories to be told. Trying to cram so many stories into one book left my head spinning. While I have enjoyed all the books in the Elm Creek Quilts series, The Wedding Quilt was not one of my favorites.
Caroline, Sarah's daughter, is getting married. The Wedding Quilt tries to capture the past twenty five years of Sarah's life and the key events in the lives of people associated with Elm Creek Quilts.

The novel centers on the wedding of one of Sarah's twins but is really a retrospective of what has happened to the Elm Creek Quilters in the intervening 25 years. You definitely have to read the series from the beginning for this book to make much sense. I have to admit that Sarah has always been my least favorite character in the series. She is often rigid and self-important and frankly I've wondered how her husband puts up with her. So having the story told from her perspective put me off this
