Admittedly this took me a little bit of time to warm up to but once I got in and got myself comfortable it turned out to be one hell of an enjoyable ride.
The world building is great. We see a world where the sun is dying and the ice is closing in from the poles leaving just a small strip of habitable land around the middle of the Earth. A world constantly at war with so little resources left. Though the reader only sees the world through the eyes of a peasant girl and so our (and her) ...more
