Children of Virtue and Vengeance was without a doubt one of my most anticipated releases of 2019. 31/2 stars but rounding up. The first book. Children of Blood and Bone was amazing. This is the 2nd book in the series - and you definitely need to read them in order. I really liked this book - but not as much as the first one. If you can - listen to the audiobook. You'll get more immersed and connected to the story - I promise you. I must admit, I wasn't nearly as obsessed with this one as the first. I felt most of the characters did things that seemed ooc for them: Amari, Zelie, Inan. It was still a good story, but also not as fun and adventurous as the first. The twist ending seemed contrived. I'll still read the next one, but I feel disappointed that I waited this long and this is what I got.
