Wow! Loved it. I cried a few tears too. All I know about the music industry is from Nashville back when I still watched TV and I have to say the picture was pretty close to what we had in this story (well I thought so!)

After reading this book, I have no idea why I was resisting reading it. I've had book that I bought from Book of the Month and still was resisting, so thank you to Michelle for having it on your shelf. :) I loved it! I laughed, I cried, I ran the gamut of emotions and I learned so much about Daisy, The Six and and how they became a band. I highly recommend it. ...more

The story is told in interview format with comments by all of the band members giving their take on events as things progress. It starts alternating chapters on Daisy and the members of The Six as they get their start. Lots of typical issues arise as they get popular, drugs, alcohol, sex and personality clashes. It is almost halfway through the book before Daisy joins the Six. I felt a little let down by the ending. Not sure what I was looking for but it wasn't there. Liked Reid's Seven Husbands ...more

It's interesting. It's different, fresh and fun. But honestly, the narrative just didn't do it for me.

Pros:
- It's unique and new
- The character building is insanely strong. I felt like I could picture Daisy and Billy very vividly. And the I really fond of how the author describe the forbidden love of Daisy and Billy in this book.

Cons:
- The premise is very similar with the author's previous work. Even the background of the "behind the scene" person who apparently connected to the main characte ...more
