I'm so here for more holiday romcoms that are not Christmas!
A Holly Jolly Diwali is about 29 year old data analyst Niki Randhawa. Niki has always made rational and logical decisions. But when she's laid off, she decides to embrace the spontaneous and books a ticket to India for her best friend's wedding. She doesn't expect to hit it off with Sam, but as the two are thrown together during a group honeymoon, they see where the sparks could lead to.

I'm honestly not sure how to feel about this book. The plot was pretty good minus the slight insta-love that occurred. Okay to be clear it was insta-lust which is so much more tolerable than insta-love but at the same time kinda unrealistic to me. Anyway, even though it wasn't insta-love they did totally fall in love within like a week or two of meeting each other. Anyway, that's not even my biggest issue with this book.

Ooh a Diwali book yay! Loving these diverse holiday reads and learning about other traditions. This was a cute book with a sweet romance. Niki went from just kind of existing to being more confident and making her life the way she wanted to live it. She also has a great sister and a friend who encourage her to go for her dreams, go girl power!
This is a pretty short book, but in the middle it dragged a bit. It didn't seem like much was happening except Niki falling for Sam. I wanted a bit more pl ...more
