This entire series has been such a wild ride! I've really been missing out by not reading more mystery books. I didn't know they would be this intense. The Inheritance Games series has got me hooked.
This one started out sort of slow but once all of the realizations started coming I was floored. I was literally on the edge of my seat trying to work everything out in my head. The plot twists in this one sort of gave me whiplash. When I figured them out I was left open-mouthed. I truly ...more

3.5 stars rounded up.
I had too many rants about the romance to say I truly liked it given how it made up a decent amount of the first act. Not to mention how the time jump at the start made some characterization rushed.
But like usual, I like the writing style, characters, and twists. The ending felt fitting.

Who is the best Hawthorne brother and why is it Xander?
Okay jokes aside I liked this book. I think it was a pretty fitting end to the series considering everything that took place in the previous two books. My only complaint about this book is that it couldn't hold onto the pacing that this story had established in the first book. This book had moments where it dragged a little bit or got boring. I don't remember feeling bored while reading the first book. Other than that, a pretty good series. ...more

This was one heck of a ride. I was so confused reading this tbh. I took a few weeks between the second and this one and it showed. Not a good decision. This was giving me whiplash and nothing was re-explained and I was super confused. This was very fast paced with so much I had to suspect disbelief for but it was such a fun ride as well! Can't wait to re read these all together back to back next time

The Final Gambit Review on K-Books
“I love you. I would die to protect you. I would make you hate me to keep you safe because damn it, Avery—some things are too precious to gamble.”
The Inheritance Games series is one that completely took me by surprise. I don’t usually read mystery books but when I started this one just after the first book released, I was obsessed. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to pick up the final book in this trilogy, all I can think of is I didn’t want it to be ...more

I loved this series so much! It’s not like most of the stuff I read, but the short chapters and puzzles had me in a freaking choke hold. I know most people got sucked into the barely there love story, but that was just a distraction in the plot. I loved the mystery, secrets, and the overwhelming desire of all the characters to win the game.
