Let me just start off by asking, was this book needed? 100% no. But that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy the hell out of it.

When books end, they tend to end right at the moment of either the couple finally getting together or a major decision being made and we as the audience never really get to see the after effects of this. Sometimes there's an epilogue, but not always. And we're just left to our own imagination to figure out how things went. Hoover took an ending that had us all going, but

The book def had the potential to be a great sequel....
But the ending was too rushed imo..it went too quick from Lily and Atlas dating, to moving in together to getting married..I hate when books time hop that quick at the end. Hugely disappointed!

Ok, I'll admit i read IEWU many years ago and thought it was a decent read, especially for a beach read where i didn't want a convoluted plot. This book did not need to exist. The only thing it did was remind me of how much Ryle sucks. The abuse is pushed off to the side like it wasn't a big deal. Whats with the tiktok stuff. Was it necessary? No, again, this book was just a big "i took off on tiktok and i'm going to make me some money" book. And another thing. if i hadn't needed this book for a ...more

Finally, a CoHo book that left me smiling. I love that she heard us and wrote more about Atlas and Lily. This was a nice, light read. A feel-good romance that I found to be a nice break between some of the heavier plot books I’ve read recently.

I really enjoyed getting Atlas’ perspective here and learning his background, along with his and Lily’s past through his eyes. There were some really great scenes with his perspective of the past. What I also enjoyed was how Ryle’s actions had a remaining impact on Lily didn’t just go away because she escaped him, but that the ramifications she felt were addressed rather than being brushed under the rug. This book flew by and when it ended I couldn’t believe it was already over.

This felt too short, I didn't get a good enough look into their lives. I loved seeing how Ryle still affects her, how Atlas comes back into her life, and how they actually felt developed and grown up. I really thought I'd be in the group that didn't love this book, but I ate it up like chocolate ...more
