I CANNOT with these cliff hanger endings. It better not take another 2 years to get the 3rd book. And speaking of that, was I the only one who thought this was a duology? Here I was going into book 2 thinking everything was going to conclude, but nope, got about a quarter of the way in and went, something's not right. Too many new things getting introduced to not be wrapped up. So that was a shocker.

I had really high expectations for this book after everything that had happened in the previous book and they were honestly not met.
A lot of this book was exploration and figuring out what the next steps are which I have nothing against but the blurb made it seem like there was going to be a lot fast paced action. So false advertising.

I waited so impatiently for this book and it was every bit as good as I'd hoped. This book had some unexpected twists, just like the first one. I loved how Bree's ancestors took the pain that was inflicted on them and created a new, safe, strong legacy of their own. Now I have to wait again for the next one.
