I really like Riley Sager. The characters are always well crafted and the plot always leaves me guessing. I love that I never know what the story might hold! And this one is so dark and fun!

I struggled with how to rate this book. The creepy, gothic vibes of the house were fantastic. I enjoyed the build up and the twists and turns. However, some of the twists were predictable and/or derivative. In the end, I had predicted the answer well ahead of the book's resolution and this took away from the overall enjoyment. I struggled to figure out how old characters were and which generation that made them with the way the narrative was told as well. ...more

I loved this book. I know that this author has had mixed reviews but I love his books and this one was no different.

I love how it ended. I loved the plot twist that I truly never saw coming. I was guessing at somethings but in the end I was off. I'm actually sad this book is over. I couldn't stop reading because I had to know the end.
