I was on the edge of my seat the whole book! This one was just as good as I'd hoped! It has a Podcast/Netflix series element along with 2 POV. Alix is one POV and Josie is the other. As they bump in to each other on their birthdays, learn they are birthday twins, they slowly begin a friendship.
To say I was hooked would be an understatement. The story is so compelling and the pacing was perfect. I couldn't read fast enough, my mind was racing the whole time. I didn't guess any of the twists, I wa ...more

4.5 stars, rounded up
OOH this was a twisty ride! Talk about unreliable narrators, wow. I really enjoyed this one. The varying versions of the story really kept me guessing. I loved the podcast/Netflix true-crime show format, it added insights but also sometimes conflicted with what we had learned in the main storyline so far, which added uncertainty and tension. What a ride!
Alix, a podcaster, and Josie meet on their birthday and learn they are birthday twins (born on the same day on the same year in the same hospital.) While just a quick meeting in a restaurant bathroom, they end up beginning to create a podcast together.
And then everything goes off the rails.
I really enjoyed the format of the book, between the podcast commentary and the NETFLIX documentary style show, intermixed with the traditional novel writing. It was hard to put down!
