What Members Thought
There was a lot I liked about this book but also, it was disappointing. The title is misleading, as the focus is on ONE woman who went to Vietnam as a nurse in the army. She's not the most likable character I've encountered and I'm not quite sure why all these men were so infatuated with her. However, that's only part of the story.

Frances “Frankie” McGrath is studying to be a nurse when her older brother, Finley, graduates from the Naval Academy and leaves for Vietnam. When she graduates she determines to follow him, but ends up in the Army Nurse Corps, due to the other branches requiring years of experience before recruitment.
