That was what people told me I was going to get with this book and while I was obviously exited, I think I still somehow underestimated how good it was going to be. I want to give it 5 stars but honestly between a lot of the fancy long names and concepts and big words there were times I was confused. I had to read along and listen to the book on tape because just doing the audio was impossible for me to follow along. The darkness in it is balanced out by Gideon’s amazing sens ...more

It was interesting, I didn't really understand some parts with what Ianthe did though. The ending i didn't see coming ... I was kinda thinking not continuing the series but I want the see if that really was her ending. I don't think so with what happened with Gideon when she was a child.
Edit: Decided to change the rating, and also won't continue the series after all. ...more

Original and special, great work building. Truly the most unique and memorable MC inner monologue. I laughed out loud several times. The audio narration by Moira Quirk is spot on.
