Can we just take a moment to appreciate just how stunning that cover art is.
Even better, the content of the pages is just as impressive!
As with most high fantasy series, there is a lot of world building and scene setting in the first book. This can feel a little overwhelming at times and for me I did sometimes get confused between two of the storylines as we are following two separate mercenary bands and some of the names are pretty similar!
