I passed this book up when it was on my Book of the Month picks in August but as more and more people were singing this books praise I had to order it and find out what the hype was about. It still took me months to pick it up but when this book won the Goodreads Choice Awards I knew I needed to pick it up soon.

3.5 rounding up. I loved how different this was, and my favorite moments were by far all the ones between Phoebe and Lila. But also Phoebe’s on her own and past timeline.
Would’ve been a full 4 for me without the Phoebe and Gary interactions—for me that took away from what I loved about this book.

I kept on putting this off because I thought it was going to be depressing, but despite some of the subject matter it really wasn't. Really loved this.
