What Members Thought
I did not enjoy this story as much as I was hoping I would. For one, I found it difficult to keep the various characters and their relationships to one another straight in my head. Second, I think there was a little too little information about the actual killer to have figured this case out. But I do agree that mother Boynton was a thoroughly awful person, with all her controlling passive-aggressiveness and quiet malevolence.

Probably the most toxic passive-aggressive character Christie has ever drawn! Quite something! I even wanted to kill her!
As for our dear Poirot, he only appears in the last third to solve the puzzle. Not the best from our Queen of Crime but still entertaining.

I loved this one the whole way through right up until the ending. The big reveal so disappointed me that I have to take away a star.
The villain/victim in this story really gave me the creeps. Mrs. Boynton. I get the shivers just thinking about her. I was extremely pleased when she died, as I am sure every reader was. But yikes!! Her poor family. (view spoiler)

Loved it, reads like evil under the sun but better.
Loved this mystery. Everyone has a motive and everyone has the opportunity, so who is the killer?
