I loved this one. Rosie is thoroughly developed and so engaging and her husband Norman is truly terrifying. The story starts as a recognizable domestic abuse tale, including some of the most shocking depictions of partner harm imaginable, so be aware of that going in.

A suspenseful and gripping book, but there’s a bit too much explicit domestic violence for my taste. Also I wasn’t a fan of the painting part. Why did it “choose” Rose, who were the women? All in all I liked it but I’m not a really big fan of this one.
