Having enjoyed They Almost Always Come Home, I looked forward to reading another book by Cynthia Ruchti. I wasn't disappointed. At first I had a bit of trouble following the three different storylines, but as the book went on, this feeling went away because I became totally absorbed in each one. To be honest, I would have been happy with only Ivy and Anna's story. That was a book in and of itself. I didn't connect as much with Becky and Lauren, the characters in the present day sections. Such a beautiful book--I love how Cynthia weaves together three different time periods and character storylines so skillfully with depth and grace. Moving and real yet hopeful. When the Morning Glory Blooms has definitely made me a Cynthia Ruchti fan. :)
