After reading (and loving) Becky Wade's first novel (My Stubborn Heart, Bethany House, 2012), I was definitely looking forward to Undeniably Yours. Her true-to-life way of bringing her characters to the page is definitely refreshing. One of my favorite things about her writing is that she doesn’t sugar-coat the real, human emotions and desires of her characters.

One of my favorite things about her writing is that she doesn’t sugar-coat the real, human emotions and desires of her characters.

This book was quite different than her first. I really wasn't expecting that, and it took me a little time to re-adjust my mind and expectations. Instead of seeing the story from only the hero and heroine, the reader witnesses the story through four characters: the hero, the heroine, another young woman the heroine is helping, and the "bad guy". Personally, I thought that was a lot of character perspectives, but it didn't make me like the book any less.

Bo Porter and Meg Cole were perfect for each other—despite the differences in life-style, how they'd been raised and that he was technically his employer, just as her father had been before her. There's just no denying the crackling fire between two people when they're soul-mates. And let me tell you, if anyone knows how to write two characters who are soul-mates and who NEED to be together, it’s Becky. She has an amazing talent and intuition for knowing just what it is her characters are looking for exactly in someone to trust their heart with… as well as with what they want out of life in general.

And, of course, there’s a perfectly timed break-up scene in Undeniably Yours—as well as the scene before it—that just rips your heart out (those are the BEST!). You might think me mean-hearted, but I do love to see characters hurt and struggle through broken hearts and damaged emotions… as long as there’s a happy ending in the end.

I definitely look forward to Becky’s future books following Bo Porter’s siblings, Ty, Jake and Dru in the coming years. I was given a paperback copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and I give Becky Wade’s Undeniably Yours 4 stars. ...more

Sometimes when you anticipate something it doesn’t turn out as well as you dreamed. I have been waiting a year for Becky Wade’s next novel and I must say the wait was worth it!

Meg Cole has been summoned back to Texas by her uncle. It has been a few months since her father has passed away and now as his only heir Meg is expected to return to Texas and run the family oil empire. The only problem is Meg doesn’t know the first thing about oil, and she has no desire, but the pull of fulfill

Meg Cole has been summoned back to Texas by her uncle. The only problem is Meg doesn’t know the first thing about oil, and she has no desire, but the pull of fulfilling her duty brings her back to Texas. Her first order of business is cut out parts of her father’s estate that she will no longer need and did not fit with her lifestyle. The chauffeur, the man who ran the hunting dog kennel, and the man who oversaw her father’s weapons all quietly took their severance packages. It was now time to see the last person on her list Mr. Porter, the man in charge of the Thoroughbred horse farm on the property. Bo Porter was living his dream at Whisper Creek, during his tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq with the Marines he dreamed of horses and overseeing a Thoroughbred farm, he wasn’t going to let the dream die quietly and he gets Meg to agree to a six month reprieve.

Meg has strong faith and feels a calling to do God’s will, her frequent in the moment prayers for guidance and support show how prayer can be part of anyone’s life. I loved her openness to God and her open heart to realize others where instruments to help Meg discover God’s will. Bo is a man of faith, and is a calming force in this book, he calms Meg by his presence and his inner strength and confidence were a constant undertone of the book. Many times in inspirational books one of the main characters has a break in faith and one character is trying to lead them back to God. I found it refreshing that both characters had faith; and supported each other’s faith. Becky Wade’s use of bible verses and prayer are perfectly in sync with the scenes in the books. I enjoyed how she showed God’s answer to prayer and the need to be receptive to the message. When I finished this book my first thought was this is a great lesson/testament to the power of prayer and opening yourself to God’s will.

My second was what a great romance Meg and Bo shared. Their relationship was a pleasure to read about and I can’t wait to read more. This is the first book in the Porter family series. In this book we have met each of the members of the Porter family and I look forward to more time with them. We are also introduced to other characters that because of the depth of the character development I can only hope to see them again in a future title. There was a lot of detail in this book, which I only think will aid in the enjoyment of the remaining books in the series.

I received this book from the author, and this is my honest review. A great read, and inspirational read. I look forward to more time with this family.

Wow is my first response when I finished this book. Becky Wade is a gifted writer. I was hooked from the beginning and it is a page turner. One of the things I loved about this book is the way the characters turned to God, When they couldn’t see s solution for their problems, they sought God for the answers. This is a definite must read.
