An interesting and engaging novel-within-a-novel. I learned some things about WWII and German spies on American soil that I hadn't been aware of. Dan Walsh's style is simple yet moving, always emotion-packed, with characters that made me care and want to know more about them. The elements of danger and mystery kept me guessing while hoping for a happy ending for both the historical and the modern-day heroes.
