"Home is the imprint on our heart, the song of our soul, the memory we've yet to live . . . ."

Melanie Vander has packed her suitcase and virtually run away from home to her friend's lake house, cowering under the pretense of completing her novel under deadline, when in reality she recognizes that she and her husband have slowly drifted apart; thoughts of the future so confusing that it seems safer to escape into the alternate reality of her work in progress. But there is no solace there, either.

This book was fantastic! Not only did I like the main storyline, but I loved the subplot about Jill and the problems she was having. The mystery of these nightmares she was having, or were they memories...was very intriguing and added this depth to the entire book that I enjoyed. Her problems were real, and it was evident that the author did her research on this topic before writing.

Back to the main characters, Melanie and Craig. I'm glad the author chose to put of their POVs in the story. Had

Ginny Yttrup takes us to the place that most of us would never dream of being, but she brings u

Ms.Yttrup's new book evoked all kinds of emotions, not only as I read, but after I finished the book. I am not a first person type of reader, however Ms.Yttrup wrote it so skillfully that I was captivated after the first chapter. Each chapter alternates between, Melanie, Craig, and Jill. I felt like I was experiencing everything they were, and my emotions were riding the roller coaster each of them were experiencing. I have only one place I want drama and that is between the pages of a good book ...more
