I got this book from Audible and listened to the audiobook over a period of a week. It was an incredible experience for someone who is a newbie to Audiobooks.

To her, they seem like the perfect couple who are in love with each other. But one day she sees the girl with another man and soon after the girl goes missing. When Rachel gets t ...more

THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN -- I chose this book to read, because its the best thriller which is released in this year. In the first few chapters the author's writing is inspired me a lots. I read the book which have the similar writing style(GOT), still I'm inspired.
This book evolves around 2 pair's life, sometimes feels like very complicated too.

I've been meaning to read this book for a while, and I'm finally glad I had the chance to do so. I picked it up and finished it in one setting, it was simply too intoxicating to put down.
Our main character, Rachel, has a hard life after the recent divorce from her husband Tom. She's become a hopeless alcohol, her only job comes in riding the train and studying a house along the way. It's inhabitants are a couple she's dubbed "Jess and Jason," her dream couple. Rachel's blissful fantasy comes to ...more

A quick read; a good premise. It was interesting how the author switched between different viewpoints. I also liked the idea that none of the main characters are really sympathetic. That mirrors what real life is like. No one is perfect. This one cheated, this one can't control her drinking, etc.

There was a lot of hype about this book, so I should admit that there was a high expectation about it. Maybe that's why I got a bit disappointed after reading the book.
This is a debut book and it seems the book was written without the end in mind. As it progressed the author made it a thriller with a suspense. But the writing style is good and the suspense though well guarded, was easily guessable.
