I'm really conflicted with how to rate this. I guess it's a 3.5? Until the second half of the book, it'd probably would have been a 4 star success.
The Ghost Bride is wonderfully written, evocatively dripping with atmosphere. The novel takes place in the 1890s, among the ethnically Chinese inhabitants of a historically fantastic Malaysia.
