I just adored this short book. I wish it were longer, but actually, it was just the perfect length. A subverted retelling of Sleeping Beauty, naturally, the MC is a young woman of our era and world (well, mine: USA). She is foul-mouthed and tragic. This will be fun for any reasonably well-read and pop-cultured person since there are many references sprinkled through the story.

This short novel is fast paced and told in a tongue in cheek tone. The author skillfully creates two stories: the story of Zinnia who has a serious illness and loves fairy tales and the story of Primrose, a princess destined to unhappily marry her prince.
