Gods, this was SO GOOD! I love a solarpunk/hopepunk setting, and Becky Chambers is a master. You know when it feels like a book was written specifically FOR YOU? This had that feeling all the way. The questions, the seeking, the doubt, the conversations - I loved, loved, loved it. Don’t be put off by the meandering feel - just jump on the bike and go for the journey. I can’t wait to read more in this series, and so thrilled that there will be more!

The robot offers to travel with Dex and along the way, inquires about many things he does not understand. At first, Dex does not like the new companion but as they get to know one another

Very chill and philosophical little story. A little too philosophical for me, maybe, but still quite enjoyable.

Just lovely.
Gentle, deep and charming.
Humanity and philosophy for SF fans and Robots.
