A political murder mystery set in the universe of Ancillary Justice and its sequels. The plot was nice and complicated, and I liked our heroine a great deal, but it wasn't quite as earth-shattering as the previous series.
I do like the way the author plays with different cultures' views on gender and identity, and I LOVED her discussion on how we define ourselves based on the artifacts handed down to us from the past. Ms. Leckie's work is full of ideas as well as story, and it works beautifully ...more

This was a interesting story. Like my headline after I finished listening I came to the conclusion that this was story about sibling rivalry and coming of age mixed with politics. All of this is wrapped up in a complex plot while following the sibling who never expected to inherit because of her adoption background. Included were the different worlds, aliens, and the politics involved when you mixed all of this up. There is great world building and back story told from the main characters point
