This is a really, really interesting and weird book, one that tilts a lot heavier towards litfic than straight sci-fi, and one that’s going to go down like marmite for some people.

It’s an extremely voice-y book with a narrator that is often unlikable and frighteningly, dangerously naive. While the entire premise and first half is extremely charming in many ways, the second half becomes a lot more emotionally charged and fraught.
