This blew me away when I was 15.

I first read this when I was a freshman in high school. It was a good time to read it — I had time, I wasn't bothered by doorstopper-sized books, I had just enough exposure to the idea of woman-centered pagan religions and the King Arthur mythos from other fantasy books to be able to appreciate this.
