For some time, this book has been buzzing around the social media with amazing reviews. So, that's even I decided to pick this up and read. And, boy, what a story.
I loved everything about this book. Every freaking thing. Even though, Laia disappointed me here and there, she turns into everything she thought she was not. Even the love square (?) impressed me.

What a fantastic book! This one took me by surprise and to be honest, I had no plans of reading it but I'm glad did. And thankfully Sabaa Tahir confirmed that there will be a sequel because this cannot be a standalone with so many things yet to be resolved.
What I liked in this book are the trials, the the plot twists and the writing <3

4.5 stars - - It took me a while to get into this book, but omg it was absolutely amazing once the action began!
So so so good! I loved the characters, the plot and the plot twists, the world (which was sooo interesting and fascinating!) and EVERYTHING. It wasn't perfect but it was sooo much near perfection.
And the finale, just WOW. I didn't expect a lot of the things that happened and everything was heartbreaking from the beginning to the end.
Can't wait for the next one! ...more

IT WAS AWESOME! jajdjdkksisjhdk I CAN'T EVEN.
It was action packed:
Had a fair share of cute moments:
I'm in love! ♡♡♡ No joke!
Laia and Elias are both very strong characters. Even the secondary characters have so many things to them. Which is good, totes good. XD
I loved Helene so much. I think she had like some conflicting issues in her mine. Like, she was so dedicated to The Empire.

Omg. This book is SO GOOOD. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT ITTT CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL!!!!
