The writing and voice grabbed me immediately; the lovely descriptions and unique metaphors were probably the best part of this book, in my opinion.
That, however, does not mean that the rest of it wasn't amazing: the characters were fascinating and authentic, and the plot, while a bit difficult to pin down, was softly enchanting and carefully woven through the events that were Leo's life.
