Lucky is about to turn eleven, and life is good. Her new mother is learning more about mothering every day with Lucky's help, her friend Lincoln is as steady and steadfast as ever, and it looks like Lucky might even have a new friend, and this time, it's a girl. Patron has developed an enduring character in Lucky Trimble. I am looking forward to the third book in the Lucky/Hard Pan trilogy.

Lucky is hard to like in this one. She kind of redeems herself in the end, but it almost felt like it wasn't quite enough. ...more
