This was an amazing YA fantasy read. However, after some deliberation, I could not give it a full 5 stars. It did get a bit confusing, but I wasn't as confused in the romantic aspect as I was the political aspect. I found myself liking Cal right away. The more I got to read about him more, the more I began to like him more and more. I liked that the book was not all about the teen romance. I thought the plot was engaging and interesting.
