What Members Thought

Ready Player One drags readers into a unique dystopian universe where OASIS, a virtual world, holds more power than reality. Fans of 80's pop culture, video games, adventure, or science fiction should pick up Ready Player One. From the setting to the characters, Cline creates a novel that leaves readers jumping into OASIS themselves. The length of the book brought my only critique; I feel there could have been more action-packed content packaged within the pages, and less build up to each main e

I now have so many names, numbers, and scoreboards circling around in my head that I no longer know what day it is.
Kidding. No but really, this book is so immersive that it was easy to get caught up, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Completely different from anything I've ever read before (considering my gaming experience consists of Zelda, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing) but I found myself pleasantly surprised.

Oh my God! This book though... I did not grow up in the 80s buy I don't think it affected my reading experience at all. You may be wondering why I said I didn't grow up in the 80s and that's because there are a lot of TV, movie l, and video game references from the 80s. I really enjoyed his book and think it should be a must read for everyone!

I now understand why everyone has been raving about this book. It was well written and fast paced. It had some of my favorite things from the 80’s so it really doesn’t get better than that. Wil Wheaton was the narrator and oh dear lord did he do a fabulous job. He did such a great job that I’m going to have a hard time finding my next audiobook. I

I have waited a long time to read Ready Player One and had very high expectations and I can say that this book definitely surpassed them.
The characters were very fun and well developed.
The plot was great and made me want more every time a chapter ended.
I felt lots of emotions while reading this and that's why I highly recommend it.
I'm not really a fan of sci-fi, but this book worked perfectly with me. ...more

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was clever. I liked the 80's references. The plot moved along and you were able to quickly get into the world that Ernest Cline invented. Very enjoyable read - couldn't put it down.
