Those who know me well enough know how much I keep talking about this book. I reread this as it had been a long while since the first reading.

Most fiction has its roots in truth. The usual plot nestles in a framework that is in some way linked to either to physical or logical laws, only straying once in a while to fascinate us. If you ever wished to have fun and not take things too seriously, then it's just the right time for you to let a little girl named Alice guide you into her world of adventures where things may seem a bit illogical, silly and goofy, but hey! that's how things are down a rabbit hole.

And if the story and characters weren't proof enough of the imagination and ingeniousness of the author, the creatively queer and funny poems definitely are.
