I love love love love this book so much!
The message is incredible because many books actually promote sex among teenagers as an expectation, however, this book is quite the opposite. I 100% loved this message and I really liked Valerie's explanations.
Valerie was an amazing character and for her to put up with all the crap and everything thrown at her was really brave. I really wanted to cut, paste and frame the words of her reasons for wanting to remain a virgin FANTASTIC I can't even right now!

Valerie was an amazing character and for her to put up with all the crap and everything thrown at her was really brave. I really wanted to cut, paste and frame the words of her reasons for wanting to remain a virgin until marriage. They really should be more widely spread and I think EVERYONE should read this book. Not just remaining virgin until marriage, but the whole "wait until you're ready". I think it was incredible how Kelly Oram managed to put every possible argument in this book.
It's amazing how pretty much everything that Valerie said hits home with the problems today (i.e. pressured to have sex, doing before they are ready...etc.). This message really needs to be way more widely spread. It's too bad that we don't really have any "Virgin Val's" out there.
I really praise Kelly for writing a book with this message. I think it is sort of an "untouchable subject" because lots of people refuse to wait and what Olivia said about sex making her feel special? She was brave to refute that and finally realize that the one who will really make you feel special is the one who will do anything for you out of love, even wait for sex. The physical aspect is not what makes up 100% of a relationship and I think a lot of people miss that fact. The way "V is for Virgin" portrays that is really amazing!
The characters were also amazing, although Cara was kind of a jerk at times.
I didn't really like Isaac for Valerie. He was a great guy but he wasn't a good match for her.
Kyle--ultimate bad boy that is probably gonna change is ways because he finally realizes that he loves Valerie so much, even enough to wait for her!
5 stars for this book and it is definitely one of my favorites. I honestly think pretty much everyone should read this.
The only thing I didn't really like was the chapter names because I feel like it gave away the chapter's events. It's not a big deal, it just sort of gave me an obvious heads up as to what was going to happen in the coming chapter.
I am definitely going to read "A is for Abstinence" and I hope you all enjoy this amazing book :D ...more

The first thing I noticed about this book is its very catchy cover. Oh my! This is probably one of my favorite book covers ever! And it’s not just the book cover that’s great, but also the story itself. As said above, this book revolves around a virgin girl named Val who vows to never have sex until she get married. After she was dump by her boyfriend because of her pledge to herself, wrong rumors we’re spread which lead to the scene she made at their school cafeteria. And after that, everything change including the coming of a bad boy slash hottie rockstar Kyle Hamilton into her life.

This book is just a short read and you can read it in just one sitting. There’s really no denying on how I adore the first series that I’ve read from the author, Kelly Oram, which was the Supernaturals series. Not to mention, that series was also catchy and love the story line and how it was properly written by the author. So at first, I was really doubtful if this one would be the same too, for obviously, these two series are in different genre. But dang! I can’t believe how a great writer Kelly Oram is. This book is so easy to read and I’m so in love with the plot. I’m a believer on Val’s crusade and I was so grateful for the author on bringing that up in this story. It is really an inspiration to everyone especially to teenagers. Though, the idea of a bad boy who feels challenged to get Virgin Val is quite a cliché, but I just love how Kelly wrote this book without any hint of cliché in it.

And just like the Supernaturals series, the characters of this books were teenagers, but mind you, it wasn’t teeny boopy at all. I love all the characters though I despise Olivia at first. And my oh my! I also love the Mormon hottie Isaac. He drives a motorcycle wearing a leather jacket, now, who wouldn’t fall for that? And ofcourse, I love love Kyle. Super hottie bad boy. (I also have a thing for bad boy especially if they know how to sing shhh)

It was also interesting to know that the characters grew as a matured individuals in the last chapter. Which most of them got married. And my oh my! I am so proud of Valerie for all her accomplishments. Wow girl, you deserved it, you even deserve Kyle. (swoooon)

Even though I love the story, I’m not satisfied with its ending. I think Val and Kyle still need a lot of exposure lol. Well, I think I’ll see more of that in the second book, A is for abstinence. And also, Val meeting her birth mom, wow, I almost cried on that scene.

The whole story is great. Love the characters and I love the plot. But I was just a bit dumbfounded in the scene where an average two girls, namely, Cara and Valerie was on the look of the two members of the popular band. I can’t believe how easy it was for Cara to get Shane (Tralse drummer) when in reality, it’s hard. And Kyle (lead singer) head over heels to Valerie. What’s with those two girls?! That was actually my only concern in this story, overall, it was great. So that’s how the 4-stars was born.

This book isn’t just about romance but also has an addition of light comedy in it (which makes this story soooo great). I recommend this book to teens, even adult and to all proud virgins.

This was an interesting read. The Kindle version I read could have used an editor with a sharper eye, which took me out of the narrative sometimes. Anyway, it was an interesting concept and I enjoyed the characters themselves. I definitely wouldn't rank this as highly as I did Cinder and Ella, but it was still fun.

Kelly u did it again! Thank you for a great story. I would love Kaylee to find a guy that was a combo of Issac and Kyle! Had a great afternoon reading about Val and her convictions. I hope all girls can have the same attitude towards sex as Val. Let hope I have taught Kaylee the same. Kelly you are truly awesome!

Phenomenal

I absolutely love this story!! It had an amazing message and story that needs to be told and shared. It has major potential to be very impactful on people everywhere! I love the fact that the message is to not just not have sex but to wait until you are ready and to make the choice for you and not for what anyone else or society will say about it.
