It's really difficult for me to dislike any book about Frida Kahlo. Her life is so fascinating.

A terrific introductory biography of artist Frida Kahlo. It mostly skims over her relationship with Diego Rivera and instead chooses to focus on her animals that inspired much of her work.
The illustrations are full of color and highlight her Mexican heritage.

LOVED the illustrations, and think younger kids will really connect to younger Frida, but the text didn't feel like anything special compared to some truly excellent picture books about Frida Kahlo that have come out in the past couple of years.
