Shelves: series, arc, rock-star

Not what I expected pleasently surprised

Firstly I have read The Rock God series and Next Generation and loved them, recommended series with drama,humour and hotness thrown into each read and great characters.

I like how K E Osborn thoughtfully starts each book off with explaining who's related to who and what slang words are to help the reader.

I was surprised having thought this was a Christmas season based story it wasn't the only Christmas part of the story was at the end so the title threw me Not what I expected pleasently surprised

I was surprised having thought this was a Christmas season based story it wasn't the only Christmas part of the story was at the end so the title threw me somewhat.

There was so much content, I was totally drawn in at the beginning, how much Amber loved Aston and the heartache she went through, I am so glad I saw this side to Amber as she is portrayed so differently in other books making her look like the bad guy when really she was merely someone in love with someone who loved someone else.

Brax is an ex soldior and best friends with Amber's brother Hunter and is hired as Amber's bodyguard after an incident and the girl who thought she would never love again begins to heal.

Like I said there is so much content, Brax has demons to face, theres a kidnapping a Jelous ex, a tour, hate fans and Ambers hate of the looming Christmas due to loosing her mother on this day which was mentioned a few times and really it only needed to be mentioned once I got it?

It was a good read I love the characters including the band members, I hit a lull once or twice were I started to loose interest but something pulled me back in each time.

The kidnapping was like it was randomly thrown into a chapter and I think what this book needed was just to centrally focus on one particular plot, Ambers relationship and the tour, what was the atmosphere like on the bus the build up behind stage? adding bit of angst in the mix I needed to feel apart of it and it wasn't happening.

The ending also random jumping to Brax as an old man and it was so depressing, I love this series for the fun characters and the plot but this felt like KE Osborn has a lot to give and put to much into one place with the switches in the story lines that being this one book.
