In the Forbidden trilogy, Ransom was the twin brother of Rebel and they both fell in love with the same girl. Their situation was a cacophony of mistakes, confusion, heartaches and learnings. I received this book in exchange for honest review.
Ransom has been through the worst betrayal ever, now still heartbroken and drowning his sorrows with alcohol (as usual) he is hit on by Dani, who is real and also has the same kind of "battle scars" that he does. He is her first for many things including her virginity, and his heart heals before he is aware that it had. She is the light in the darkness for him, and secrets that they were holding onto come to light and dealt with together, until ...more

Romance read
Ransom is a guy drowning his sorrows a guy who is struggling to move on from heartbreak and although this is a continuation and the the afterlife of Ransom from the previous trilogy it can be read as a stand alone and does not involve characters much from the previous books and solely focuses on Ransom and Dani.
Dani is the girl who basically comes to Ransoms rescue a meeting in a bar an instant bonding and as friendship blooms she helps him rebuild his confidence, ditching the booze ...more
