My back hit the concrete wall with a thud. “You got what you wanted, so you can go now. Because I can’t stand fucking looking at you any longer!” I reached for her on pure impulse. “Skyler—” As soon as she felt my strong arm’s wrap around her waist, she kneed me in the balls. “We’re even now, because I hate you too.” Push. I groaned in pain, and in her fuck-me heels, she took off running toward the exit. Breathing through the dis-comfort for a moment, I hauled ass after her. My boots pounding the wet pavement, chasing her in the pouring rain. Catching up with her outside the back of the dark

building. I gripped her arm and roughly turned her toward me, never expecting what happened next. “No!” she shouted bloody murder, once again shoving me as hard as she could. She didn’t falter, losing her fucking shit on me. “I loved you!” She ignored the sting I knew her hand must have felt every time it connected with my face and body. Hitting me anywhere she could. I tried blocking each and every blow, driving her further to push and hit me harder. Taking out every malicious word I’d said to her, and years of pent-up anger with herself, on me. “I fucking loved you!” “Cutie, calm the fuck down,” I ordered, trying to grip onto her wrists. “Fuck you!” she yelled, punching and shoving me more, the closer I came toward her. “You don’t know anything! Nothing!” “Skyler, enough!” Raising her hand up to slap me across the face, I gripped onto her wrist and spun her around before she could react. She lost her footing which only made it easier for me to carry her up into my arms. Striding over to the nearest car that appeared abandoned in a secluded corner of the alley. “Stop it,” I warned, controlling her body from thrashing around. Pissing her off even more. “You stop it! Put me down!” And I did, slamming her ass on the hood. Taking ahold of both her wrists with my hand and placing them above her head. I pinned her down, and still she fought with every ounce of courage she had left in her. “For fucks sake, stop!” “No!” “Well then, I’m just gonna havta fuck the fight right out of ya.” “Don’t you dar—” My lips crashed onto hers, slipping my tongue into her mouth. Demanding complete and utter control. She weakly thrashed around, and I held her tighter against my chest, kissing her fucking senseless. Groaning against her lips, “Fuck… I missed you…”

Well M.Robinson certainly kept me on the edge yet again with another read full of angst and anticipation.

Praise for the cover I think my eyes bugged out of my head when I fist saw it and I instantly wanted to read it.

I absolutely loved The Road to nowhere which was Creed and Mia's story and once again Lost boy takes you on a similar journey from childhood friends to adulthood and the angst in between.

I absolutely loved The Road to nowhere which was Creed and Mia's story and once again Lost boy takes you on a similar journey from childhood friends to adulthood and the angst in between.

Lost boy is a journey, a journey from the moment Noah saw Skyler singing in the river while riding past on his bike and the instant connection, the love at first sight moment to years later and the troubled times in-between. I was a wreck reliving parts of the story I had already read in Creed's book and then relived it all over again through the eyes of Noah. A truly emotional book at times.

This is a story about two people who loved one another but were both on different paths in life, wanting to be together but life and circumstances made it impossible, a love story that spans over years.

I loved it, M.Robinson is my go-to author for angst and plots with substance. I loved the grit and the feeling of instant connection with the characters. Noah instantly had my heart.

THERE'S A BUT THOUGH AND THIS WOULD ONLY MAKE SENSE IF YOU HAVE READ THE PREVIOUS BOOK ROAD TO NOWHERE (CREEDS STORY).

Noah loved Skyler, he loved her so much there love grew with every visit Skyler made to her childhood home in-between productions. When she hit the big time with her acting and singing time and time again he let her go to do her thing while living in his own nightmares at home, Noah hurt each time Skyler left to do her job and he missed her but life went on and I forgot at times that this was the same Noah from previous books who loved Creed's Mia, the same Noah that loved his brothers girl? Noah had said to Creed in the previous book that he loved her, he had a baby with her and I felt in this book there was no Closure on that.
Mia was only mentioned twice in this book and that was in connection to Creed getting married and a sentence at the end where she attended a gathering as Creeds wife. I feel a bit lost, to be honest, why did he say he loved Mia when in this book he was deeply in love with Skyler, how did he get over her, why didn't he tell Skyler about her, how is their relationship now, does Skyler get on with her?????. OMG, so many unanswered questions. I think this should have been two books like Creed's, the end I thought was rushed too, I wanted more of the happy from this journey of sad times.

Despite my last comments, this is truly an angsty and an on the edge of your seat kind of read, a whole whirlwind and rollercoaster of emotions.

Can be read as a standalone. Told in first person dual pov's. Available in KU
