The Rebel of Raleigh High

Okay, I love this book and the two main characters and Silver’s father, for that matter, and I’d planned to write a long review, but then I reached the end... and hold up, a new book for ZETH!!
I legit died!
Not only are we due for another book for Silver and Alex, but we’re going to get a new read from Mr ZETH Mayfair.

A college romance that packs a heavy punch to the emotions.

The Rebel of Raleigh High is gripping, has elements of dark, it's intense and I just couldn't stop turning the pages.

The beginning of The Rebel of Raleigh High immediately caught my attention and I could't wait to find out more about Alex Moretti and the reasoning behind his actions in the first few pages of this book, he comes across as mad, bonkers, a bad-boy and a rebel and I had to know more..

The beginning of The Rebel of Raleigh High immediately caught my attention and I could't wait to find out more about Alex Moretti and the reasoning behind his actions in the first few pages of this book, he comes across as mad, bonkers, a bad-boy and a rebel and I had to know more..

Silver Parisi used the be the "It girl" of Raleigh high until one night changed her life, her friends who were at the top of the high school chain disowned her and she was no longer the girl in the limelight anymore. Silver's aim following the incident was just to finish High school with her chin up and to get her grades. Silver was now a girl who sat in the back of class, in the shadows but she was a survivor and a 17 year old girl with backbone who was determined to just finish school, even if it was alone and without her turncoat friends.

Alex Moretti is an orphan, a bad boy, a rebel and he is brought to Raleigh High by his social worker with an ultimatum, a new school or prison for what he had just been caught in the act doing, he had only one choice and that was to change schools and turn over a new leaf if he ever wanted to get his little brother back.

Alex and Silver are both mature characters who have had to take on the roles of adults before their time, so even though this is a high school romance, the characters felt a lot older at times.

There is so much to this book, Alex's backstory, Silver's backstory as well as lots going on in the present.
On the romance side of things in Alex and Silvers story, Alex and Silver have immediate chemistry, two outcasts with a kindred spirit, they were so meant to find one-another and although Silver pushes him away again and again because she doesn't want to bring any attention to herself, especially with the bad boy vibe Alex gives off, something all the girls are pining for, Silver tries to deter Alex, if she lets him in she would also have to trust someone again, so she continues to push, but Alex can't deny the pull toward her and he just keeps on going and going until she relents, until she gives in to her feelings too.

A high-school romance, a story containing hate, jealousy, spite, loss, grief, revenge, forgiveness, starting over, new beginnings and trust. This isn't a high school romance with it's high school childlike dramas, this story is intense and has some gruesome moments, Alex and Silver are two teenagers with a whole lot of baggage of hurt and together, working together they find healing.

In summary: A captivating story that I would highly recommend.
