I rated this book with four stars because I didn’t like the beginning, I would get lost and wouldn’t understand what was happening. But I loved the rest of the book, especially the story. To give you a little summery, it takes you through a little irish girl’s life that is an orphan in 1929 ( Vivi ), also it follows a foster girl name Molly in 2011 and how they meet and help each other.
I could relate to Molly sometimes, and when Vivi was a teenager, but I was impressed in her ( Vivi ) maturity when she was a teenager because I am not even near to her level.
I feel like everyone should read this book because of the message it lives you with. You understand foster/orphans live in another way. Their feelings, what life means to them when they realize that one cared about them anymore, people always wanting something in exchange for them, and how they ( people from the orphanages ) fill them up with lies.

Yo le di cuatro estrellas a este libro porque no me gusto el principio, me perdía y no entendía lo que estaba pasando en la historia. Pero me encanto el resto del libro, especialmente la historia. Para darles un resumen, el libro contaba la historia de la vida de una niña irlandesa que es huérfana en 1929, también sigue a otra niña llamada Molly en el 2011 y como ellas se conocen y se ayudan mutuamente.
Pude relacionarme con Molly en algunas partes del libro y con Vivi cuando era adolescente pero estaba impresionada con el nivel de madurez que ella tenía cuando era adolescente porque yo no estoy ni cerca.
Siento que todos deberían de leer este libro por el mensaje que deja. Uno entiende la vida de los huérfano de otra forma. Sus sentimientos, lo que la vida se significa para ellos cuando se daban cuenta que ya no le importaban a nadie, la gente siempre queriendo algo a cambio de ellos y cómo la gente ( de los orfanatos ) los llenaban de mentiras.

“Tal vez, el valor del proceso -- es tocar cada cosa, nombrar y identificar las, en reconociendo el significado en un cardigan, en un par de zapatos para niños”
