I rated this book with a five stars because it I liked the way it was written. It was unique and different.

I could relate, in some parts of the book, to the feeling she would have when something either bad or good happened to her. I could mostly relate when she was a teen because I am going through that, but what I couldn’t relate to was when her mother was being incomprehensive and mean, because my mom would do anything to help me and is always nice to me. I can’t imagine my life with a mother like that.

I recommend this book for teenage girls. I feel like there is a lot of things that we hear but didn’t really understand. And when I read this book I understood in a good way, because Ann makes you stand in her shoes and experience her life. Also it also shows you the two extreme points of a teenager.

This is one of my favorite quotes from the book“I make up my mind to do everything I can to be my best possible Helen so that even with the rubbish Ellie hair and clothes, the real Helen-ness will shine through and Mother will have no choice but to know that it’s me.”

Yo le di cinco estrellas a este libro porque me gusta mucho la forma en la que está escrita el libro. Era único y diferente

Me pude asociar, en unas partes del libro, a el sentimiento que ella tenía cuando algo malo o bueno le pasaba. Más que todo me pude relacionar cuando ella era adolescente porque yo estoy pasando por eso, pero lo diferente es que su mamá era incomprensible y mala y mi mama es aria lo que fuera para ayudarme y siempre es divina con migo. No puedo imaginar mi vida con una mama así.

Yo recomiendo este libro para adolescentes mujeres. Siento que hay muchas cosas que escuchamos pero no entendemos. Y cuando leì el libro lo entendí de buena manera, porque Ann hace que te parece en sus zapatos y que experimentes su vida. También te enseña los dos extremos de los adolescentes.

Esta es una de mis phrases favoritas del libro “Decido que voy a hacer todo lo posible siendo Helen para que a pesar de el feo pelo y ropa de Elli, mi Helen-ness brillara y mama no tendrá opción pero saber que soy yo.”
