I would give this book a 4 star rating. It is a long book I know, but believe me it is worth reading it. For my personal experience I thought the movie was enough to exceed my expectations. But the day that I grabbed that book, I couldn’t let go of it. It was a great experience reading it, since it had so much more details than the movie and that helps you understand the story better.

To give you guys an idea of the book, the principal character is called Tris Prior. She belongs to the faction called Abnegation. In abnegation they focus on helping the people around you and not to care about yourself but focus more on others. Tris and her brother (Caleb) have to go through a simulation where they will face different obstacles that will help them define which of all of the 5 different factions they should commit to life. Tris ends up choosing Dauntless which focus on bravery. But the interesting part is that Tris results tell her that she is Divergent. A person that is Divergent means that they posses skills in different factions not just one. But I am going to stop here before I spoil it. What I love about this book it that it also has the romance part and believe you won’t get bored of it.

This book does not relate to my hero's journey, because it is fiction.

I would recommend this book to everyone that liked the movie or people that like to read a book series. I personally loved this book and I read it super fast. I think it is a book well written and you are able to connect to the characters and the different experiences they go through.

My favorite quote of this book is:

“Fear doesn't shut you down; it wakes you up”
I now consider myself as a person that is shut’s down when I have fear or when I am scared. But while reading this book even if it is fiction I thought I could relate somehow to this quote. I think that people that will succeed in life are not the one that with fear hey run away but instead they face everything they need in order to reach their goal. That is the type of person I want to become. And that is why I love this quote so much.

Yo le daría a este libro una calificación de 4 estrellas. La verdad es que es un libro largo, pero créanme que vale la pena leerlo. Por mi propia experiencia me pareció que la película era suficiente para superar mis expectativas. Pero el día que cogí ese libro, yo no podía soltarlo. Fue una gran experiencia poder leerlo, ya que tenía mucho más detalles que la película que te ayuda a entenderlo mejor.

Para darle una idea del libro, el personaje principal se llama Tris Prior. Ella pertenece a la facción llamada Abnegación. En Abnegación se centran en ayudar a la gente alrededor y no se preocupan por sí mismo sino que se centran más en los demás. Tris y su hermano (Caleb) tienen que ir a través de una simulación en la que se enfrentarán a diferentes obstáculos que les ayudará a definir a cuál de todas las 5 facciones diferentes van a comprometerse para toda la vida. Tris termina escogiendo Dauntless que se centran en la valentía. Pero la parte interesante es que los resultados Tris le dicen que ella es Divergente, y ser Divergente significa que pertenecen a facciones diferentes y no sólo una. Pero voy a parar aquí antes de que me lo arruine. Lo que me gusta de este libro es que también tiene la parte de romance y creo que no se aburriran de leerlo.

Este libro no me ayuda con mi pasión , porque es ficción.

Yo recomendaría este libro a todos los que le gusta la película o personas que les gusta leer una serie de libros. Personalmente me encantó este libro y lo leí muy rápido. Creo que es un libro bien escrito y gracias a la forma que está escrito es más fácil de conectarse con los personajes y las diferentes experiencias que atraviesan.

Ahora en dia me considero como una persona que se apaga cuando tiene miedo o cuando está asustado. Sin embargo, durante la lectura de este libro, incluso si se trata de ficción, pude relacionarme de alguna manera con esta cita. Creo que la gente que va a tener éxito en la vida no son las que con el miedo huyen sino que se enfrentan a todo lo que necesitan con el fin de alcanzar su objetivo. Ese es el tipo de persona que quiero ser. Y por eso me encanta esta cita tanto.
