I cried, I swooned, my heart ached and felt the everything the characters were feeling and cried some more. I had to process this for a few days before I could write a review.
The name of this book is so fitting "Ryan's Bed". It means so much more. I can't imagine losing a twin, your soulmate, your best friend, your better half. Especially, a twin who looks exactly like yourself. The reminder of looking in the mirror everyday especially being around your family.

My heart hurts today. Today a little more than any other day of the year. Today my heart hurts because one of the best friends I've had in my life, committed suicide 9 years ago on this very day. And this book...it just tore my heart to pieces. Because I know. I know the anger and sadness. I know the grief, and the frustration. The confusion. And Tijan took all of that, rolled it up and portrayed it beautifully in written word.

It's been a really long time since I have been hooked to a book from the beginning. I finished Ryan's bed in one sitting and got so emotionally involved I wish it didn't have to end. Ryan and Mackenzie's love was addictive and I so wish Tijan had made this story a series. It has certainly made me like the author and I will be reading more by Tijan in the future.

Awe Struck
I am a huge fan of Tijan, not just because of the depth of her writing but because of her fearlessness to embark on journeys that are so dark. After I read Mac’s story I cried. I’ve been to edge of that cliff overlooking that river of desperation and felt like settling in. I’ve wondered how will my twin feel about me leaving her, what will my other sisters do, will they go on. Life is filled with happiness and pain and it’s how we deal and cope with those things that guide each of us t ...more
