I started reading A Million Suns to see if it could stand alone w/out reading this first book (it can't), so the very little that I read sort of ruined this story for me. I knew what was coming, so the only mystery was how it was going to come to that ending.

A nice sci-fi thriller with a bit of mystery and romance. I was sad that the author took the "rutting season" thing so far...the rest of the book was appropriate for middle grade readers but a couple scenes in the middle of the novel made we think twice about handing to kids younger than 14.
