Yay!! This book was so much fun! Read it if you love fairy tales or dystopian fiction that you can relate to or strong women characters.
Also, make sure you have Scarlet close by because you’ll want to start that immediately. And then have Cress on-hand too because OMG you will want to read through these stories at break-neck speed once you get into it.

Cinder, a cyborg mechanic, didn't grab me at the beginning, but way before the end I started thinking, "Oh, my gosh, this is a really cool protaganist." The new take on the story of Cinderella is unique, and the character - Cinder- is developing nicely. There is romance thrown in, of course, and a war could be in the making. All the elements of a solid series, which is a good thing, since this is Book One of the Lunar Chronicles.

“I don't know. I don't actually remember anything from before the surgery." I used this quote because this book is somewhat forgettable.
This book was supposed to be exciting, (a dark, cyborg Cinderella) and instead I found that it moved too slowly. The only characters I even cared about were the Prince and Cinder. This book is hugely popular so I admit it just may be it's really not my genre. 2.5 stars. (My teens each book gets better in the series so you may want to see for yourself.) ...more
