Unpopular opinion alert!
I hate this guy. I read this book in high school and the general consensus of the class was that this dude is a moron. He runs off into the Alaskan wild with no training, no plan, and no brains. And he dies. Obviously.
Yeah, I feel bad the idiot died, but he inspired a lot more idiots to try what he did and they died also! So many people died senselessly. Frustrating.
